HOW IT WORKS — Draw. Heat. Watch It Rise.

The magic is heat.

ODALIT™ uses a heat-activated formula that stays flat as you draw, then puffs into soft, raised 3D relief when warmed — like popcorn for art.

1. Uncap

Remove the outer cap, then pull off the inner nozzle seal. The double-seal design helps keep the formula fresh between uses.

Re-cap firmly after each use.

2. Draw

Use it like a regular marker on paper, cardstock, canvas, wood, or suitable fabric.

Smooth, slightly thicker lines create a fuller and more noticeable 3D effect.

3. Heat & Watch It Puff Up

Choose the heating method that works best for you:

🔥 Heat Gun — Best & Fastest
Set it to approximately 200°C / 392°F, hold it around 4–6 inches / 10–15 cm away, and keep it moving in short passes. Stop once the lines rise, and do not linger on one spot.

💨 Hair Dryer — Easy at Home
Use the highest heat setting, hold it close, and keep it moving. Hair dryers are less powerful, so allow several minutes and be patient.

🌀 Microwave — Plain Paper Only
Use only with plain paper or cardstock placed flat on a microwave-safe ceramic plate. Heat in short 10-second bursts, checking after each interval.

Never microwave artwork containing metal, foil, glitter, plastic, adhesive, attached decorations, or artwork made on wood, canvas, fabric, or glass. Never leave the microwave unattended.

💡 Heat gradually, test a small sample first, and allow the finished artwork to cool before touching it.

Q: Do I really need to heat it?

A: Yes. Heat activates the 3D effect.

Without heat, ODALIT™ dries more like a regular flat drawing. Draw it, heat it, and watch it rise.

Q: What can I draw on?

A: Paper, cardstock, canvas, wood, and suitable fabric.

Use a heat gun or hair dryer for wood, canvas, and fabric; the microwave is for plain paper only. Avoid thin plastic or anything that may melt or warp when heated.

Q: My hair dryer is taking a while, or parts are not rising evenly. What’s wrong?

A: The heat may be too far away, applied for too little time, or the lines may be too thin.

Try drawing thicker, more even lines and moving the heat source slowly across the whole design. Hair dryers naturally take several minutes, while a heat gun produces faster and fuller results.

Flatter areas can be carefully reheated for a few additional seconds.

Q: What does the finished artwork feel like, and will it last?

A: Once heated and cooled, the artwork develops a soft, raised, puffy texture similar to a handmade puffy decoration.

The formula is designed to keep its raised shape. Protect finished pieces from moisture, hard bending, repeated squeezing, and prolonged direct sunlight.

Q: Can I use it to make keychains?

A: Yes.

Create and heat the design first, allow it to cool completely, and then attach the keychain hardware.

Never place metal hardware, plastic accessories, or attached decorations in the microwave.
